VinFast partners with NVIDIA and Autobrains to launch Level‑4 robotaxi program in Southeast Asia

At the NVIDIA GTC Taipei event during COMPUTEX 2026 on June 1, Vietnamese automaker VinFast announced a strategic partnership with US chipmaker NVIDIA and AI startup Autobrains. The three companies will develop a Level‑4 robotaxi platform for the Southeast Asian market, built on NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion 10 computing hardware and Autobrains’ Agentic AI software. The joint solution uses a modular architecture where specialized AI agents are activated only when needed, reducing computational load and improving stability in complex traffic.

VinFast highlighted the region’s dense, diverse traffic as a rigorous test bed and said the collaboration aims to create scalable, cost‑effective autonomous mobility that can be widely deployed. NVIDIA’s automotive vice‑president emphasized that the partnership will accelerate safe, software‑defined vehicles, while Autobrains’ CEO noted the system is the first commercial Level‑4 robotaxi to employ such AI agents at scale.
