VinFast rolls out millionth electric scooter as it drives Vietnam’s sustainable‑city project

VinFast, the Vietnamese automotive subsidiary of Vingroup, announced the production of its one‑millionth electric two‑wheel vehicle – a red Feliz II scooter – at the Hai Phong plant. The milestone follows sales of more than 406,000 electric motorcycles in 2025, a network of roughly 750 dealerships, and ongoing expansion through a new factory in central Vietnam and market entry plans for Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Thailand and Malaysia. The scooters feature removable batteries and are supported by a growing battery‑swap infrastructure.

In parallel, VinFast is a key partner in Vingroup’s Vinhomes initiative to create a new coastal city in southern Vietnam built around ESG principles. The project envisions electric mobility as a core pillar, including VinFast’s electric buses, offshore wind generation and large‑scale energy‑storage systems to supply local renewable power and reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels.
