VinFast sets record for VF 8 electric SUV sales in Vietnam

VinFast announced that 12,728 orders for its new-generation VF 8 electric SUV were placed within the first eight days of the early‑booking period (27 May–3 June 2026), averaging about 1.1 vehicles sold per minute. All orders are non‑cancellable and include incentives such as a VND 51 million discount, a 10% off‑list‑price reduction, and a 5% fixed‑rate financing offer. The first deliveries are expected by the end of July 2026. The VF 8, redesigned under VinFast’s “Tech Fluid” concept, claims a near‑500 km NEDC range, fast charging from 10% to 70% in under 30 minutes, and a 600 kg weight reduction versus the previous model.

The record sale underscores growing domestic demand for electric vehicles as Vietnam’s overall retail sales and industrial production continue to rise, reflecting broader economic momentum in the country.
