VinFast VF 3 leads Philippine electric vehicle sales
The VinFast VF 3 electric mini-SUV became the best-selling battery-electric vehicle (BEV) in the Philippines from January to August 2026, with 2,906 units sold. According to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI), the model secured the top position in the local BEV segment.
VinFast Philippines attributed the success to several ownership incentives, including a battery subscription policy to lower upfront costs, a residual value guarantee program, and a free charging program available until March 31, 2029. CEO Antonio “Toti” Zara stated that the milestone demonstrates a readiness among Filipino drivers to adopt electric mobility when supported by a comprehensive ecosystem. The company is currently working to expand its dealership network, charging infrastructure, and vehicle lineup.
