Vingroup announces new education and electric vehicle projects

Vingroup is expanding its operations through new educational facilities in Vietnam and a major industrial investment in the Philippines.

Vinschool, a subsidiary of Vingroup, has announced plans to launch two new school clusters, Vinschool Royal Island in Hai Phong and Vinschool Green City in Tay Ninh. Scheduled to begin operations in the 2027-2028 academic year, these facilities will serve preschool, primary, and secondary students. The Hai Phong campus covers over 2.7 hectares and is expected to accommodate approximately 3,400 students.

In the Philippines, Vingroup plans to invest $500 million to build a large-scale electric vehicle production complex. The project, discussed with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, is expected to break ground in the first quarter of 2027. The facility aims for an initial capacity of 200,000 vehicles per year, covering both four-wheel electric cars and electric motorcycles for domestic and export markets.
