Vingroup breaks ground on Vinmec Can Gio international hospital

Vingroup has officially broken ground on the Vinmec Can Gio International General Hospital, located within the Vinhomes Green Paradise coastal metropolis. The project is being developed in strategic partnership with the Cleveland Clinic to establish a world-class medical tourism destination that combines intensive treatment, health recovery, and luxury wellness.

Scheduled to open in December 2027, the facility will span 7.4 hectares and feature 500 beds, with an expected capacity to serve approximately 500,000 patient visits annually. The hospital aims to join the global Cleveland Clinic Connected network, utilizing international standards for clinical processes, infection control, and patient experience. The facility also seeks JCI accreditation.

Key medical specialties will include Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, Intensive Care, Geriatrics, and Preventive Medicine. Cardiology and Oncology are designated as the primary spearhead specialties, intended to function as Centers of Excellence. Additionally, the hospital will focus on longevity medicine and aging research to improve clinical outcomes and healthy life expectancy.
