Vingroup incentivizes Vietnamese firms to join automotive supply chains

Vingroup and VinFast recently organized the 'Conference on Strengthening Localization and Supplier System Development' to encourage Vietnamese enterprises to integrate into their automotive and motorcycle supply chains. To facilitate this transition, Vingroup has announced significant incentives, including providing production volume forecasts 12 to 24 months in advance and offering land rent reductions of 50% for the first three years and 30% for the following five years.

Experts at the event, including PGS. TS Bùi Quang Tuấn and PGS. TS Nguyễn Hồng Sơn, highlighted the importance of Vingroup acting as a leading enterprise to foster a sustainable industrial ecosystem. They drew parallels to international models like Toyota, Hyundai, and Airbus, noting that such leaders help domestic suppliers improve technological capacity and international competitiveness.

One participant, Automech Chairman Lương Đức Thụ, reported that partnering with VinFast enabled his company to expand its workforce from 200 to over 1,000 employees and projected revenue growth from 800 billion VND to an expected 2,000 billion VND by 2026.
