Vingroup pledges 11 trillion dong for veteran housing and DNA identification in Vietnam
Vingroup is contributing 11,000 billion Vietnamese dong to a nationwide program honoring Vietnam's war veterans and their families. The plan includes building fully furnished homes for "Mothers of Vietnam Heroes" and other first‑class war‑invalids, with 75 m² apartments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Da Nang and 100 m² houses elsewhere, to be delivered by 27 July 2027. Recipients may opt for cash at local market value if they already have housing.
The corporation will also provide a monthly stipend of 5 million dong for each child of a martyr until the child turns 18, and invest in modern DNA testing chains for the military, health and forensic institutes to accelerate identification of unknown war remains as part of the "500‑day campaign" to locate and identify fallen soldiers.
