Vinh Long reforms humanitarian aid to focus on sustainable livelihoods

In Vinh Long, the provincial Red Cross and the Vinh Long Cooperative Alliance have signed a cooperation agreement to reform humanitarian aid methods. The initiative aims to shift from emergency relief toward proactive prevention and sustainable livelihood development.

The program focuses on supporting vulnerable groups, including the poor, people with disabilities, and women. Key activities include surveying actual community needs, providing management training, and promoting digital transformation and e-commerce for collective economic models. The partnership will also pilot a humanitarian livelihood model linked to cooperatives in key areas and utilize digital tools to enhance transparency in resource coordination.
