Israeli military raids West Bank violence Gaza airstrikes Askar refugee camp Palestinian casualties

Israeli military operations in the West Bank and Gaza have resulted in multiple casualties. In the northern West Bank, 14-year-old Islam Ahmad Maher Ajouri was shot and killed by Israeli forces during a raid on the Askar refugee camp near Nablus. The Israeli military stated the operation was intended to locate an individual responsible for an attack on an Israeli civilian in Al-Auja.

In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli strike in the city of Zawayda killed two people, including a four-year-old boy, Mohammad Abdel-Salam Taha. The IDF indicated the strike targeted the Maghazi refugee camp to reach a terrorist operative.

Following recent kite launches from Gaza, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the IDF to act with firmness against such activities.
