Violence reported in Los Mochis and Lambayeque

In Los Mochis, Mexico, a religious service at the Nuestra Señora de Fátima Parish was interrupted by gunfire on Sunday night. The incident occurred during an operation where members of the National Guard engaged with armed civilians near the temple. Priest Joel Valdez Villegas instructed congregants to remain inside and close the doors for safety. The National Guard reported the arrest of eight individuals following the confrontation.

In the Lambayeque region of Peru, a wedding at the San Pedro church in Mórrope was canceled after a woman interrupted the ceremony. The woman, identified as the ex-partner of the groom, allegedly threw paint at the couple, sparking a physical altercation outside the church. The Peruvian National Police intervened and detained the woman on suspicion of causing injuries to her former partner.
