The Višňové Tunnel on the D1 motorway (Lietavská Lúčka – Dubná Skala section) has been closed in both directions following a car fire. The incident was recorded in the tunnel tube heading toward Martin. Traffic is being diverted via the I/18 road through the Strečianska narrows.

Authorities have implemented detours to manage the disruption caused by the closure of this major highway segment.
