Virgin Australia launches international fare sale with tickets from AU$429

Virgin Australia announced a week‑long international promotion starting on 3 August 2026. Return fares to popular holiday destinations such as Bali, Queenstown (New Zealand), Fiji and Vanuatu are offered from AU$429, with travel dates available between 13 October 2026 and 22 June 2027. The airline also introduced “Hopper” flight‑and‑hotel packages priced from AU$649 per person.

Chief marketing officer Libby Minogue said the sale gives Australians a chance to lock in overseas trips as winter ends, noting that the discounted fares are intended to turn group‑chat travel plans into bookings. The promotion runs until 7 August 2026 23:59 AEST, and Velocity frequent‑flyer members can earn points on qualifying purchases.
