Virginia International Raceway to host IMSA GT and GSX racing

The Virginia International Raceway (VIR) will host upcoming rounds of IMSA competition, including the Michelin GT Challenge and the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.

In the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, five Corvette GT teams are competing for championship points and momentum. The Corvette Z06 GT3.R teams, including those from Pratt Miller Motorsports, are aiming to secure a second consecutive GTD PRO Manufacturers Championship title. Notable contenders include the No. 4 Corvette, currently second in the GTD PRO Drivers Championship, and the No. 3 Corvette, which is defending its 2025 race-winning status.

Simultaneously, the GSX class will feature GT4-spec cars in two 45-minute sprint races. Class leader Westin Workman seeks to recover from a recent defeat at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park to maintain his significant championship lead. The GSX Bronze Cup also remains highly competitive, with only 40 points separating the top three drivers.
