Virovitica-Podravina County approves projects for young farmers

Virovitica-Podravina County has received approval to implement two projects aimed at supporting young farmers, in partnership with the Local Action Group ‘LAG VIP’, the Municipality of Pitomača, and the Virovitica-Podravina County Entrepreneurial Incubator. These initiatives were submitted under the National Network of the Common Agricultural Policy for 2026.

The first project, ‘Young Farmers – Drivers of Rural Development’, will feature a round table discussion involving young farmers, institutional representatives, and experts. The goal is to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and discuss ways to make rural areas more attractive for living and working. The event will highlight available funding and support through the Common Agricultural Policy.

The second project involves the production of a video titled ‘One Day in the Life of a Young Farmer’. This video aims to increase the visibility of young agricultural workers by showcasing their daily lives, entrepreneurship, and the use of modern technologies and innovations in the sector.
