Virovitica-Podravina County development projects

Virovitica-Podravina County has advanced several regional development initiatives involving European Union funds and agricultural support.

Two county projects—the establishment of RCK Panonika infrastructure and a project to increase resilience to floods and droughts along the Drava River—reached the finals of a competition for the best European Union project. This contest aims to raise awareness regarding the successful use of EU funds.

Additionally, the county received approval to implement two projects under the National Network of the Common Agricultural Policy for 2026. These initiatives, developed in partnership with the Local Action Group ‘LAG VIP’, the Municipality of Pitomača, and the Virovitica-Podravina County Entrepreneurial Incubator, focus on supporting young farmers. One project involves a round table discussion to exchange knowledge and discuss rural attractiveness, while the other involves producing a video titled ‘One Day in the Life of a Young Farmer’ to showcase modern agricultural entrepreneurship.
