Virovitica-Podravina County projects reach EU project finals

Two projects from Virovitica-Podravina County have reached the finals of the competition for the best European Union project. The contest, organized by Jutarnji list in collaboration with the Croatian Association of Counties, the Office of the European Parliament in Croatia, and the portal Župan.hr, aims to raise awareness regarding the successful use of EU funds.

Out of nearly 50 applications, 36 projects have been selected as finalists. The two Virovitica-Podravina County projects are the establishment of RCK Panonika infrastructure (partnering with Požega-Slavonia County) and a project focused on increasing resilience to floods and droughts along the Drava River.

Judging will conclude by August 21, and winners will be announced during the Day of Regional Development and EU Funds. In September, readers of Jutarnji.hr and župan.hr will be able to vote for their favorite projects, with the three most popular receiving awards.
