Virtus Bologna launches franchise project and new season‑ticket campaign

Italian basketball club Virtus Bologna announced a multi‑year franchise plan to expand its EuroLeague participation. The club aims to join a group of thirteen founding franchises and add eight more, with a projected contribution of €50 million over ten years, lower than the €75 million requested from other clubs.

Simultaneously, Virtus opened a new season‑ticket subscription campaign. Prices are frozen compared to previous years, and tickets guarantee a quarter‑final playoff spot, discounted access to LBA TV, and a 50 % voucher for unused games. The sales run from today until 22 July for existing subscribers, with general sales starting 24 July. The club will split its home games between the new permanent arena at the Fiera and the PalaDozza, hosting 13 events at the latter and 21 at the former.

These initiatives are part of Virtus’s strategy to strengthen its financial base and secure its place among Europe’s elite basketball clubs.
