Visa regulations updated for Northern Cyprus and Syria

New visa regulations have been introduced affecting several nationalities and travel methods. In Northern Cyprus, a new e-visa regulation has set fees for citizens of Nigeria, Armenia, and Syria. Single-entry e-visas are priced at $40, with an $80 fee for urgent/VIP processing. Multiple-entry visas are set at $80, while urgent multiple-entry options cost $120. Applications are to be processed online within 30 to 60 days. The e-visa does not guarantee entry, as immigration officials retain the right to conduct interviews and deny entry at the border.

Additionally, the Turkish Embassy in Damascus announced a change in visa application rules for Syrian citizens. The requirement for travel via air has been removed, meaning valid visas obtained from Turkish diplomatic missions can now be used for entry through land border crossings in addition to airports.
