Vishay expands automotive common mode choke portfolio

Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its automotive-grade portfolio with four new surface-mount common mode chokes: the ICM5050-A, ICM6050-A, IFLN-1210BE-A, and IFLN-1812CZ-A. These AEC-Q200 qualified devices are designed to improve system efficiency and reduce board space in automotive applications.

The new components provide noise suppression and filtering for various systems, including DC/DC power supplies, LCD displays, lighting drivers, in-vehicle Ethernet networks, and battery-powered devices. The ICM5050-A and ICM6050-A are wirewound ferrite options capable of handling high currents up to 11 A and 14 A, respectively. The IFLN series offers high common-mode impedance for EMI noise suppression in CAN and LAN networks.

These devices feature low DC resistance (DCR) ranging from 0.4 mΩ to 12 mΩ to minimize power losses. They are designed for high-temperature operation, with some models reaching up to +150 °C. All four series are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and compatible with automated pick-and-place assembly.
