Viterbo celebrates centenary of Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri

The Viterbo section of the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri, named after Pietro Cuzzoli, celebrated its centenary with a series of commemorative events. The celebrations included a flag-raising ceremony, a parade through the city center, and a tribute to fallen soldiers.

A central moment of the event took place in Piazza del Sacrario, where a laurel wreath was laid at the monument to the fallen and a medal was awarded to the section's flag. The ceremony featured a flyover by the Flyteam aerial patrol from Rome.

Local authorities, including Mayor Chiara Frontini, Prefect Sergio Pomponio, and Provincial President Alessandro Romoli, attended the proceedings. General Pasquale Muggeo, the regional inspector for Lazio, emphasized the historical and moral significance of the centenary, noting the association's role as a common home for both active and retired Carabinieri.
