Viterbo prepares funeral services for diving instructor Marco De Falco

Funeral services for Marco De Falco, a 61-year-old diving instructor and physical education teacher, are scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, at 3:00 PM in the Basilica of Santa Maria della Quercia in Viterbo. A wake is being held on Monday at the Viterbo Cemetery crematorium.

De Falco, affectionately known as ‘the Prof’ by students and colleagues, passed away on September 8 on the island of Favignana. He reportedly suffered a heart attack after returning to the surface following a dive. Despite emergency medical interventions and resuscitation attempts, he could not be saved.

A prominent figure in the Viterbo diving community and the Blue & Blue Dive Club, De Falco is remembered by former students and colleagues for his enthusiasm and expertise. The community has expressed significant grief following his death.
