Death of diving instructor Marco De Falco

Overview

Marco De Falco, a 62-year-old diving instructor and physical education teacher from Viterbo, died following a medical emergency on the island of Favignana, Sicily, on September 8. After completing a dive, De Falco reportedly suffered a heart attack while on a boat. Despite resuscitation efforts by companions and medical personnel, including intubation at a local health facility, he was pronounced dead.

Following his passing, the Viterbo community, where De Falco was a well-known figure at Liceo Santa Rosa and the Blue & Blue Diver Club, began preparations for his memorial. Funeral services were scheduled for September 15 at the Basilica of Santa Maria della Quercia in Viterbo.
