Viterbo region secures €680,000 for digital and ecological transition projects

The municipality of Vitorchiano in Italy’s Viterbo province received €350,000 of PNRR funding to accelerate technological innovation. The money is being used to expand digital services, now offering 48 municipal functions through the national IO app, including payments, notifications and civil‑registry tasks.

At the same time, the Chamber of Commerce of Rieti‑Viterbo launched a "Double Digital and Ecological Transition 2026" voucher scheme. A total of €330,000 is available for micro, small and medium enterprises (MPMIs) based in the Alto Lazio area, with grants of up to €7,000 per company covering up to 70 % of eligible costs. Applications open on 10 July 2026, with pre‑registration from 8 July, and eligibility excludes firms that have already received other digital‑voucher support.
