Simest rolls out export and energy aid for Sicilian firms

At a meeting organised by Sicindustria and Simest in Palermo, Simest CEO Regina Corradini D’Arienzo presented a package of measures aimed at boosting Sicilian companies. The programme includes a grant covering up to 30 % of energy‑related costs, financing tools for investments both in Italy and abroad, and targeted support for export activities.

Corradini stressed that Simest acts as an institutional partner rather than a simple lender, working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, foreign embassies and agencies such as ICE and SACE to create a “system close to the enterprises”. The aid is intended for all sectors of the regional economy – from agro‑food and the Blue Economy to manufacturing and other Made‑in‑Italy exports, which have shown double‑digit growth in recent months. The event gathered numerous representatives of local firms to discuss how the new tools can help them navigate the current global economic challenges.
