Vitória Futebol Clube faces scrutiny over TAVFER partnership
The Vitória Sempre movement has raised questions regarding a partnership agreement between Vitória Futebol Clube and TAVFER. The deal, originally presented in May as a means to stabilize the club's finances and develop the Vale do Cobro lands, has become a source of internal tension.
Vitória Sempre published a chronological analysis of documents and member deliberations, questioning whether the contract signed by the club's leadership aligns with the specific authorizations granted by the General Assembly. The partnership agreement, dated May 26, was signed by club President Francisco Alves Rito, Vice-President Sara Martins Ribeiro, and Fernando Tavares Pereira representing TAVFER-Gestão de Participações Sociais SGPS S.A.
During a General Assembly on May 22, the leadership sought authorization to conclude negotiations and establish real guarantees, including potential mortgages, over the Vale do Cobro lots. The movement also noted that a separate proposal from M Sports Group, led by Filipe Morais, was unanimously rejected by the club's board for being considered 'dangerous.'
