Vivo announces new gaming tablet, gimbal camera and X500 smartphone specs
Vivo and its iQOO sub‑brand are preparing a suite of new smart devices. Leaks indicate a compact 8.3‑inch LCD "2nm flagship gaming mini tablet" slated for the iQOO line and expected in the second half of the year. Additional rumors mention an ear‑clip style earphone and what is described as Vivo's "first gimbal camera," while the flagship Ultra series continues to be iterated.
Detailed specifications of the upcoming Vivo X500 have also been disclosed. The base model drops the previous 200 MP sensor for a 50 MP Sony 1/1.28‑inch primary sensor, complemented by a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 64 MP Sony periscope telephoto at 70 mm. The X500 will feature a 6.59‑inch 1.5K flat OLED display, a 3 nm Dimensity 9500 processor, a 7,500 mAh battery, and a new horizontal camera island replacing the historic circular module. Launch is expected in September in China, with Pro variants using a 2 nm Dimensity 9600 chip.
