Vivo announces OriginOS 7 rollout and Apple ecosystem integration

Vivo is rolling out its OriginOS 7 software update, which is built on Android 17. The update introduces new interoperability features, allowing Vivo smartphones to work with certain Apple ecosystem products. Through the Origin Health Connect app, users can sync fitness data, view AirPods battery levels, and access iCloud files. Additionally, compatible Apple Watch models can forward calls, SMS, and app notifications to the Vivo device, provided the watch was initially set up on an iPhone.

In India, the rollout for OriginOS 7 is scheduled to begin in late October 2026 and continue through February 2027. The deployment will occur in phases, prioritizing flagship models such as the Vivo X Fold 6, X300 series, and X200 series. Mid-range and budget devices, including various models from the V, S, T, and Y series, are slated to receive the update between December 2026 and early 2027.
