Vivo announces OriginOS 7 software update roadmap

Vivo has released a feature rollout roadmap for OriginOS 7, scheduled to run from late October through December. The updates primarily focus on camera enhancements, system interface refinements, and gallery tools.

Starting October 29, the vivo X300 and X200 series will receive new camera color styles, including Chasing Light, Rich, Cool White, and three humanistic styles: Street, Portrait, and Life. The iQOO 15 series, iQOO 13, and X Fold5 are expected to receive these styles in late December.

In November, the update will introduce floating control updates for various system apps, such as Phone, Messages, and Weather. A redesigned camera interface with customizable layouts and a new toolbox panel is slated for the X300 series and iQOO 15 series in the second week of November, while the X200 series and iQOO 13 will receive it in mid-December. Additionally, album editing features, including batch watermark removal and a straighten tool, are expected in the third week of November.

The roadmap concludes in late December with the introduction of a camera palette tool, allowing users to share and save custom color styles. While these updates provide new software capabilities, they do not change the underlying hardware sensors or lenses.
