vivo launches S2 5G smartphone in India

vivo has reintroduced its S-series to the Indian market with the launch of the vivo S2 5G on August 6, 2026. The device features a curved AMOLED display and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset. A notable specification is its 7,050 mAh battery and dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor capable of 4K video.

In comparison to the Realme 16 Pro 5G, the vivo S2 5G offers a curved screen and a lower introductory price of Rs 39,999, whereas the Realme model features a flat AMOLED display and a higher-resolution 200MP main sensor.

The vivo S2 launch is part of a broader 2026 lineup that includes the V-series, such as the upcoming V80 5G with Zeiss-tuned cameras, and the X300 FE, a compact flagship equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
