Vivo announces T5 5G launch in India and X500 camera specs

Vivo has announced new smartphone releases in the Indian and Chinese markets. In India, the company launched the Vivo T5 5G, a mid-range device featuring a 7,050mAh battery, a 6.83-inch 144Hz curved AMOLED display, and the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. The T5 5G includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilization and is priced starting at ₹34,999. It is expected to go on sale via Flipkart and Vivo's official stores on September 9, 2026.

Simultaneously, Vivo has confirmed specifications for the upcoming X500 5G series in China. The standard Vivo X500 5G will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor and Zeiss gimbal-level stabilization with a CIPA 5.5 rating. The telephoto camera is expected to utilize a 64MP Sony LYT-610 sensor, supporting 4K video recording at 120fps. The X500 series is slated for release in China later this month.
