vivo S2 set for India launch in August 2026

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is preparing to release the S2 model in India in early August 2026, with sales likely timed around the country’s Independence Day on August 15. The device, identified as model V2576 in the Bluetooth SIG certification database, has also obtained BIS certification and appears in import‑export records showing 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variants.

The launch follows Vivo’s July 2024 joint‑venture agreement with Indian partner Dixon Technologies, in which Dixon holds a 51 % stake. This partnership gives Vivo access to local production capacity for over 20 million phones, influencing pricing and supply strategy. Industry sources suggest the S2 may be a re‑branded version of the upcoming X300 E and could be priced below ₹50,000, targeting the mid‑premium segment.

While Vivo has not released official specifications for the processor, camera or battery, the expected launch will expand its S‑Series presence in the Indian market, which began with the S1 in 2019.
