Vladimir Putin addresses International Festival of Youth in Ekaterinburg

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed participants of the International Festival of Youth in Ekaterinburg via a televised message on September 13. The event, which runs until September 17, brings together approximately 10,000 young people, including 5,000 Russian citizens and 5,000 international participants.

During his address, Putin called on the youth to “change the world together” and work toward building a “just world” based on peace, mutual respect, and humanity. He emphasized that every nation should have the right to choose its own path and expressed the importance of equal access to technology, food, water, energy, and medicine, regardless of a person's nationality, status, or wealth.

According to the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the festival saw a significant global interest, with over 113,000 applications submitted. For the first time in the festival's history, international applications exceeded those from Russia by 32,000. The program includes various activities such as creative workshops, sporting events, and ecological initiatives.
