Vladimir Putin defends effectiveness of strikes against Kyiv

Russian President Vladimir Putin has characterized recent Russian strikes against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities as ‘effective,’ stating they assist soldiers on the front lines by disrupting the delivery of equipment, ammunition, and personnel rotation.

Putin claimed that as the situation becomes more difficult for the enemy, the Kyiv regime engages in ‘barbaric attacks.’ He described these actions as being driven by neo-Nazi and Russophobic ideologies. He further asserted that the intensification of Russian strikes is a direct response to Ukrainian missile and drone attacks targeting Russian ‘civilian objects and logistics,’ specifically oil refineries and depots.

While acknowledging that Ukrainian strikes cause economic damage and losses within Russia, Putin argued that the ultimate outcome has been the opposite of what the enemy intended. He noted that recent large-scale attacks in Kyiv resulted in significant casualties, including at least 17 deaths.
