Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to prioritize a trip to China for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Shenzhen over attending the G20 summit in Miami, Florida. While there had been previous discussions regarding a potential meeting between Putin, Donald Trump, and Ukrainian President Zelensky in the United States this December, reports indicate that Putin’s attendance at the G20 is highly unlikely.

If Putin attends the APEC summit in November, it would mark his first in-person appearance at the forum since 2017.
