VLEN criticizes lack of accountability in Tetovo hospital tragedy

The political entity VLEN has issued a strong condemnation regarding the legal outcome of the tragedy at the modular hospital in Tetovo, where 14 lives were lost. The group criticized the prosecution and political leadership, specifically naming Ali Ahmeti and Prosecutor Islam Abazi, for failing to establish clear criminal responsibility.

VLEN argued that attributing the cause of the tragedy to a “cable” rather than human or institutional error constitutes a failure of the justice system and a re-victimization of the deceased and their families. The statement further accused the BDI leadership of prioritizing political power and privileges over accountability to citizens, calling for an independent investigation to ensure justice for the 14 victims.
