Vlorë police arrest 32‑year‑old carrying illegal firearms and ammunition

Albanian police in Vlorë arrested 32‑year‑old Eris Mara in the Lef Sallata neighbourhood after stopping his Audi. Officers seized a pistol, two magazines with a total of 22 live rounds, a plastic holder with 18 additional rounds, and a radio resembling those used by the State Police.

Mara, a resident of the village Peshkëpi, was taken into custody in flagrante delicto. The seized materials have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for further action on charges of illegal production, possession of military‑type weapons and ammunition, and unlawful use of police‑style equipment.
