VN-Index market outlook: Analysts project potential recovery amid key support levels
The VN-Index is showing signs of stabilization following a significant decline in July. Financial institutions are providing varying outlooks for the index's performance in August.
An Binh Securities (ABS) suggests a positive scenario where the VN-Index maintains its short-term bottom of 1,651 points and returns to an upward trend, potentially reaching the 1,850-1,950 range. This scenario assumes technical indicators like the MACD remain favorable and market liquidity recovers to an average of 25 trillion VND per session. ABS recommends focusing on banking, securities, retail, and logistics sectors, noting VPBank as a potential prospect due to credit growth expectations.
Other analysts maintain a more cautious stance. Vietcap Securities identifies 1,740 points as a critical support level, while SHS Securities notes the index is accumulating below a strong resistance zone near 1,800 points. HSC observes a divergence in cash flow, with demand concentrating on stocks with individual growth stories or positive business results. While short-term recovery and accumulation trends persist, market volatility and profit-taking pressure remain key factors for investors to monitor.
