Irina Rimes announces departure from Vocea României

The 14th season of the talent show ‘Vocea României’ premiered on September 4, 2026, featuring several updates to the competition format. Host Pavel Bartoș introduced new strategic elements, including a ‘second chance’ button that coaches can use once, alongside the existing ‘superblock’ and ‘mute’ buttons.

During the premiere, singer Irina Rimes announced that this will be her final season as a coach on the show. She explained that her decision is driven by personal reasons, specifically her desire to take a career break to focus on her health and start a family. Rimes expressed her intention to be the best coach possible during her remaining time on the program.

The new season also saw notable performances, such as sisters Cristina Boghici and Alexandra Bordei, who impressed all four coaches. Additionally, contestant Francoise Manuel successfully turned all four chairs within three seconds, leading Tudor Chirilă to use his ‘superblock’ to prevent Irina Rimes from selecting her.
