Vodafone to Offer Broadband via Deutsche GigaNetz Fiber Networks from 2027

Vodafone and Deutsche GigaNetz have signed a long‑term wholesale agreement that will allow Vodafone to market internet, television and telephone services over Deutsche GigaNetz’s fiber‑optic network. The partnership introduces an open‑access model, meaning the network owner will no longer be the sole provider after the construction phase, giving customers more choice and reducing operational costs for Vodafone.

The rollout is scheduled to start in 2027, initially covering about 500,000 households and businesses. Deutsche GigaNetz aims to expand its FTTH infrastructure to up to one million connections by 2030, helping Vodafone reach its target of offering gigabit services to roughly 72 % of German households.
