European companies report mixed H1 2026 financial results
Various European companies reported diverse financial results for the first half of 2026.
Flughafen Wien AG reported a 7.0% increase in period results to €123.2 million, driven by cost discipline and strong growth in Malta (+15.6%) and Kosice (+43.5%), which offset a 3.2% passenger decline at the Vienna-Schwechat location.
In the automotive sector, BMW saw its operating result in the automobile segment drop by over 60% to €629 million, largely due to a 30.2% decline in sales in China.
In the energy and technology sectors, Asta Energy Solutions raised its EBITDA guidance to between €60 million and €64 million due to high demand in the energy sector. Conversely, thyssenkrupp nucera halted plans for its 300-megawatt SOEC series production facility in Arnstadt, citing slow market demand for green hydrogen and incurring a €30 million write-off.
Frequentis reported strong growth, with revenue increasing 44.8% to €342.9 million and operating EBIT turning positive at €15.6 million, supported by high demand for aviation safety infrastructure.
