Volkswagen introduces eight‑speed automatic gearbox on Brazil’s 2027 T‑Cross SUV

Volkswagen has launched the 2027 version of its T‑Cross compact SUV in Brazil equipped with a new eight‑speed automatic transmission, available only on the 1.0‑liter turbo engine. The update comes with modest price adjustments for several trims, ranging from a modest increase on the 200 TSI and Comfortline models to unchanged pricing on other variants.

At the same time, the automaker unveiled the Virtus Exclusive 250 TSI sedan, also built in Brazil. The model features a 1.4‑liter turbo‑charged engine delivering 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a six‑speed automatic gearbox. It offers a 521‑liter boot and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, positioning it as the most powerful version in the Virtus line.
