Volkswagen launches all-new T-Roc and ID. Cross SUVs
Volkswagen unveiled the all‑new T‑Roc in Taiwan, pricing it from NT$1.198 million. The compact crossover now features a 48 V eTSI mild‑hybrid system paired with a 1.5 L TSI turbo engine, delivering 150 hp and a fuel consumption of 17.7 km/L. Dimensions have been enlarged, with a 12 cm longer body, a 3.9 cm longer wheelbase and a 475‑liter boot, while the interior adds digital cockpit displays, premium leather seats and advanced driver‑assist functions such as Park Assist Plus and 360° cameras.
On 15 July 2026 Volkswagen globally launched the ID. Cross, a new 4.1‑metre‑long electric SUV built on the MEB+ platform. It offers three motor outputs (85 kW, 99 kW, 155 kW) corresponding to 116‑hp, 135‑hp and 211‑hp, and two battery options (37 kWh, 52 kWh) with WLTP ranges up to 427 km. The vehicle includes a retro‑styled digital instrument cluster, 10.25‑inch digital cockpit, 12.9‑inch infotainment screen, and features such as V2L power supply, adaptive suspension and advanced parking assistance. German pricing starts at €36,525 (≈ 679 million JPY, NT$1.41 million).
