Volkswagen launches ID. 3 Neo electric vehicle in the UK

Volkswagen has announced the UK launch of the ID. 3 Neo, an updated compact electric vehicle scheduled to go on sale on August 13. The model marks a shift in the company’s naming convention and features a redesigned exterior and interior based on customer feedback.

Exterior updates include a new front-end design with a continuous LED light strip and an optional illuminated logo. The interior has been modified to be more intuitive, reintroducing physical buttons and controllers under the infotainment screen and on the steering wheel. The cabin features a 12.9-inch central infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital cockpit display.

The ID. 3 Neo offers three battery options: 50kWh, 58kWh, and 79kWh, providing WLTP ranges of up to 258, 306, and 390 miles respectively. Charging speeds reach up to 183kW for the 79kWh variant. Technical improvements include a more efficient drive system and software updates that enable one-pedal driving and vehicle-to-load functionality.

In the UK, the vehicle will be available in three trim levels: Life, Style, and a limited-run Style Launch Edition. Pricing starts at £33,080 for the Life trim, £38,500 for the Style trim, and £39,750 for the Style Launch Edition.
