Volkswagen launches ID. Aura T6 electric SUV in China

Volkswagen, through its FAW-Volkswagen joint venture, opened blind pre‑orders on July 30 for the ID. Aura T6, a midsize electric crossover aimed at the Chinese market. The model measures 4,811 mm in length, 1,879 mm wide and sits on a 2,836 mm wheelbase, offering a 90‑liter front trunk and seating for five.

Powered by a single 228‑horsepower (170 kW) electric motor and a lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery, the vehicle features the CEA electronic architecture, a 4‑nm AI chip delivering about 20 TOPS, and the Carizon driver‑assistance suite with Highway NOA and Urban Pilot functions. Inside, a digital cockpit includes a 10.25‑inch instrument cluster, a 15.6‑inch central display and a 25.8‑inch augmented‑reality head‑up display, complemented by an 18‑speaker Dolby Atmos sound system and optional front‑seat massage functions.
