Volkswagen launches ID.7 Tourer GTX electric wagon as Polo GTI price cut announced

Volkswagen announced a promotional price drop for the gasoline‑powered Polo GTI, now offered at €32,645 – about €880 cheaper – with features such as Matrix LED headlights, a digital 10.25‑inch cockpit and a range of optional extras. The discount is limited to a few days while the model remains the only petrol hot‑ hatch in its segment as the brand shifts toward electrification.

In a separate test drive, the company unveiled the ID.7 Tourer GTX, an all‑electric wagon aimed at combining practicality with performance. Powered by two electric motors delivering 340 hp and 679 Nm, it offers up to 586 km of WLTP range, a 86 kWh battery and fast‑charging up to 200 kW. The GTX variant adds all‑wheel drive, sportier styling and a spacious 605‑litre boot (expandable to 1,714 L), while achieving 0‑100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
