Volkswagen launches low‑cost ID. Polo electric car in Europe with prices from €25,995
Volkswagen has opened pre‑sales for the new ID. Polo, an affordable compact electric car equipped with a 37 kWh battery. The company markets the model for everyday routes and city commuting, offering fast DC charging that reaches 80 % in about 23 minutes at up to 90 kW.
In Norway the entry‑level "Trend" version is priced at 249,900 kr, while the higher‑spec "Life" version starts at 272,900 kr. Across Europe the base price is €24,995 (approximately 273,000 kr). The Spanish market lists the "Match" trim from €25,995, with higher‑powered 116 hp, 135 hp and 211 hp options paired with either the 37 kWh or a larger 52 kWh battery. WLTP ranges vary from 318 km to 449 km depending on powertrain.
Volkswagen reports more than 70,000 orders within weeks of launch, including 25,000 for the ID. Polo, and highlights standard driver‑assist features such as adaptive cruise control, parking sensors and digital cockpit displays in the higher trims.
