Volkswagen T‑Cross price cut of up to R$10,000 in Brazil

Volkswagen announced a R$10,000 discount on all versions of its compact SUV T‑Cross in Brazil. The entry‑level Sense model now starts at R$119,990, while higher trims fell from R$161,490 to R$151,490, R$181,990 to R$171,990, and so on. Equipment levels and safety features, including six airbags and a five‑star Latin NCAP rating, remain unchanged.

The reduction is positioned as a direct response to growing competition from Chinese manufacturers and other compact SUVs such as the Chevrolet Tracker, Hyundai Creta, and Nissan Kicks. Volkswagen highlights the T‑Cross’s low maintenance cost, extensive dealer network of 545 locations, and strong after‑sales support as competitive advantages.

The T‑Cross continues to lead the Brazilian SUV segment, surpassing 10,000 units sold by June 2026 and ranking among the country’s best‑selling vehicles, while the Fiat Strada retains overall market leadership. Analysts view the price cut as a strategic move to preserve market share as Chinese models gain traction.
