Volkswagen unveils new model lineup and trims portfolio to focus on top sellers

Volkswagen said it will introduce more than ten new models by 2027, expanding its electric ID. range with vehicles such as the ID. Polo, ID. Cross, ID. 3 Neo (offering 50‑79 kWh batteries and up to 630 km range), and a refreshed ID. 4. The company also plans new hybrid Golf and T‑Roc models for Europe, a second‑generation Atlas SUV for the United States, and ID. Unyx sedans and a Jetta SUV for the Chinese market.

At the same time, Volkswagen announced a strategic portfolio reduction, aiming to concentrate development and investment on its highest‑selling models. In Brazil the focus will be on the Polo, T‑Cross, Nivus, Virtus, Taos, the newly launched Tera, as well as the Amarok pickup and Saveiro light‑commercial vehicle. The move is intended to improve cost efficiency amid rising development expenses and the industry shift toward electrification.
