Brazil secures two beach volleyball spots for Los Angeles 2028

Brazil has secured two Olympic qualifying spots for beach volleyball at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. The achievement follows the country's dominant performance at the South American Tournament held in João Pessoa, Paraíba.

In the women's division, the duo Thâmela and Vic claimed the title after defeating Paraguay's Michelle Valiente and Giuliana Corrales with a 2-0 score (26/24, 21/7). In the men's division, the pair André and Renato secured the championship by defeating fellow Brazilians Evandro and Arthur Lanci 2-0 (21/16, 23/21).

While the spots are officially allocated to the Brazilian nation, the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol (CBV) and the Comitê Olímpico do Brasil (COB) will determine the specific athletes who will represent the country in 2028 based on established ranking and selection criteria. Brazil maintains the possibility of qualifying additional pairs through the World Championship or FIVB rankings.
